An Eco-Friendly Solution

Tero's technology easily and quickly transforms your table waste into a natural fertilizer ready for plants, gardens and lawns. Its unique drying and grinding technology is odorless and quiet.

The Tero is the only product of its kind in the world that is as efficient and fast, so it's an essential solution to reduce our environmental impact.

Dispose of All Your Food Waste

The Tero recycles up to 95% of food waste, including animal-based products, leftover fruits and vegetables, eggshells, small poultry and fish bones, dairy products, coffee grounds and tea bag filling.

For more information, please refer to our blog post to know what can and cannot be put in the Tero.

Fill Your Device With No Mess

The elongated shape of the bucket makes it easier to dispose of food waste directly from a cutting board or conventional plate without causing any mess.

Blends in Beautifully
Thanks to its compact and elongated shape, the Tero can be placed close to the wall, freeing up all the useful space in front of the countertop for cooking. It also blends beautifully in any kitchen!

Enough Capacity for the Whole Family

The Tero's bucket can hold up to 4L of food waste, which can be the entire family's leftovers. A nice compromise for the little space it takes up on the counter and the amount of food waste it can hold.

Quiet in your Kitchen
The noise emitted by the Tero when the processing cycle is on is comparable to a dishwasher. At maximum power, it does not exceed 60 decibels, therefore, it is quiet in your kitchen.

Cleans Effortlessly

The Tero's bucket and blades can easily be removed for cleaning in the dishwasher or by hand. However, it is not necessary to clean the bucket and blades after each use.

An odorless transformation
The Tero has an airtight lid and an aerated anti-odour filtration system. The filter material is made of activated charcoal, providing a clean and odourless kitchen.

The anti-odour filter needs to be changed 3 to 4 times a year, depending on your daily use of the device.

Fast and Automatic

The cycle is automatic and stops when the materials are dry and ready to use. The duration will depend on the quantity and type of food to be processed. On average, it takes 4 to 8 hours. The drier the food, the shorter the processing cycle.

Eliminates Pathogens
The Tero eliminates animal-based pathogens through controlled air input. Your natural fertilizer is therefore stable, odourless, and free of bacteria.

For more details about the fertilizer, please refer to the FAQ.

A Natural High-Quality Fertilizer

The natural fertilizer produced by the Tero can be kept for over a year in an airtight container. You can therefore store it throughout the winter season and use it when summer arrives.

What About Traditional Compost?
The Tero uses a drying and grinding technology to process your food waste. Therefore, there are no living microorganisms, unlike traditional compost that develops with worms and other insects to nourish the soil. The natural fertilizer produced by the Tero releases its nutrients due to the microorganisms already present in the soil, thus promoting the health of your soil and plants.

Wow! Tero!

Just wow! I use it every other day. I am thrilled with the results! After 3 months I changed my filter and the charcoal granules. I only use one garbage bag per week with the Tero. Much less waste in the garbage. Thanks a lot!

We compost in the summer. TERO allows us to continue composting during the winter and will give us fertilizer in the spring for all our flowers, vegetables, trees and shrubs.

Tero helps us do better for Mother Earth!

We are so pleased with our Tero composter! It's large capacity is perfect for our daily requirements and we live in an area that doesn't pick up organics curbside. This helps us process our food waste effectively, and we are saving the ashes to fertilize our new garden next spring!

Thanks for the follow-up to get the product better

I received my Tero device on October 29, 2021 and used it for the first time on November 1. After two weeks of use, I was greatly disappointed to see that the manufacturing and operating characteristics of the device that I had idealized did not meet my expectations. 1- The weight of the device overwhelmed me. I then understood why the shipping costs were so high. 2- I was surprised to learn that the anti-odour filter cartridge and the dust filter had to be replaced every 3 to 4 months. For me, this additional expense was not negligible. 3- The third point is major. It is the noise that the unit makes. The noise that my device makes is the noise made by two pieces of metal rubbing against each other when cold, a noise that makes you grind your teeth. Since this noise lasts for the entire time the machine is running, between 5 and 7 hours, it is quite unbearable not only for me but also for my wife. I sent my comments to Veronique, the customer service advisor, telling her that I had decided to give up using it. I promptly received an encouraging reply: "...I can certainly help you with the noise. It is indeed an unpleasant noise, you are right. Other users are also experiencing this noise and we are working on a solution. This noise is in fact produced when the blades rub on the bottom of the bucket, around the chimneys. I suggest you put vegetable oil on the blade holders and around the chimneys, at the bottom of the bucket. It is very important to get back to me if the noise persists and gets louder. I won't leave you like this, that's for sure! As for the anti-odour filters, you don't have to change them every 3-4 months. It's up to you, depending on what your nose tells you. They are used to prevent odours. You may very well be able to stretch your filters much longer!" The proposed solution to reduce the squeaking of the blades has proven to be positive, although for an octogenarian like me, the operation of oiling each time you use it is not very easy given the small size of the bucket. Considering the running time of between 5 and 8 hours, I find that there is still room for improvement. Honestly, I still find it difficult to stand the noise during all this time. I have to say that I was very excited to learn about this project in October 2019 and subscribed to the Kickstarter fundraising request. I do not regret my contribution to support the tremendous amount of work that went into making the TERO project a reality. What a great example of youth getting involved in protecting the environment!
